  • RAT SYNTHESIS STREET COMBAT PLAN: INSTINCTIVE RESPONSE – PAIN, PRESSURE, TERMINATE, AND FINISH WITH WILLFUL INTENT

“An idiot with a plan can beat a genius without a plan.” – Warren Buffet

PAIN – PRESSURE – TERMINATE – FOLLOW UP – FINISH.

    1. Stay Mindful: Always practice situational awareness. If a threat catches you off guard, you weren’t fully present. Your first goal is to anticipate and avoid danger.
    2. Attempt De-escalation: When possible, de-escalate the situation. Control your tone, posture, and words to reduce tension.
    3. If De-escalation Fails:
      • Initiate the Attack: Strike first and decisively, targeting a vital point like the eyes to create immediate pain and disrupt the assailant’s focus.
      • Apply Pressure: Use a straight blast to drive them off balance.
      • Terminate: Follow with headbutts, knee strikes, and elbows.
      • Seek an Escape: If alone, prioritize a swift exit. If with friends or family, you may need to neutralize the threat fully. This is where the powerful palm strikes, Western Boxing power punches, and other moves come out.
    4. Adapting to Resistance:
      • Begin with Single Direct Attacks or Attack by Combination
      • If your strikes don’t penetrate, transition to Trapping or Attack by Drawing—lure out their guard to open access to a vital point.
      • You may also have to use Broken Rhythm
      • If you still can’t penetrate, attack the painful spots on their extremities to force an opening.
      • Once you break through, maintain momentum with a blast, followed by headbutt, knees, and elbows to incapacitate.
    5. If They Strike First:
      • Intercept and Destroy: Intercept and destroy their attacks which inflicts pain and may even fracture their limb disabling it.
      • Apply Pressure: Use a straight blast. Follow up with headbutts, knees, and elbows.
      • Finalize or Escape: Escape if possible, or if necessary, continue until the threat is fully incapacitated to ensure the safety of yourself and those with you.
    6. If they tackle you and take you to the ground:
      • Focus on creating pain and opportunities to escape.
      • Many standing techniques can be adapted for ground fighting.
      • Get back to your feet into a mobile position.

    ADAPT, IMPROVISE, OVERCOME, SURVIVE.

All of the above must be executed instinctively, spontaneously, and with willful intent. The time for thinking is in the training hall, not in the heat of conflict.

  • The Art of RAT Synthesis: Mastering Streetwise Self-Defense, Fitness, and Self-Mastery

    Strategic Foundations

In the realm of self-defense, the principles of RAT Synthesis stand as pillars of strategy, blending the disciplines of Rapid Assault Tactics (R.A.T.), Kickboxing, and Denis Decker’s Gung Fu. This synthesis provides a comprehensive framework for achieving streetwise self-defense, heightened fitness, and self-mastery transformation.

The Way of Finesse (Little PaGua)

For those who prefer finesse over brute force, such as smaller fighters, the Way of Finesse offers a strategic approach rooted in agility and precision. By strategically moving around opponents, targeting vital points, and capitalizing on vulnerabilities, practitioners of Little PaGua weave through conflicts with grace and strategy.

The Path of Power (Big PaGua)

In contrast, the larger fighter usually uses the Path of Power which harnesses sheer force and strength to overwhelm adversaries. Through decisive strikes and calculated aggression, practitioners of Big PaGua dominate confrontations, asserting control with every move.

    Mastering RAT Techniques

Central to RAT Synthesis is the mastery of Rapid Assault Tactics (R.A.T.). RAT practitioners intercept, destroy, and maneuver with precision. Through the mantra of PAIN-PRESSURE-TERMINATE, they neutralize threats swiftly and effectively.

    The Five Ways of Attack

Bruce Lee’s timeless wisdom guides RAT Synthesis in understanding the five ways of attack: single direct, combination, drawing, trapping, and broken rhythm. By mastering these methods, practitioners gain a nuanced understanding of offense and defense, adapting seamlessly to any situation.

    Pattern Recognition

Success in self-defense hinges on the ability to read opponents and intuit their movements. RAT Synthesis offers a systematic approach to pattern recognition, categorizing fighters based on footwork and structure. Armed with this knowledge, practitioners can tailor their responses and countermeasures with precision.

    Adaptability and Resilience

In the chaos of combat, adaptability is paramount. RAT Synthesis prepares practitioners to overcome unforeseen challenges, improvising with speed, agility, and deception. By embracing resilience and flexibility, individuals navigate conflicts with confidence and composure.

    Conclusion: Unleashing Your Potential

The journey of RAT Synthesis is one of transformation and self-mastery. Through the synthesis of streetwise self-defense, fitness, and strategic prowess, practitioners unlock their full potential. With RAT Synthesis as their guide, individuals seize control of their destiny, embarking on a path of empowerment and enlightenment.
